The Spies Hecker colour software Phoenix is now available as an app for smartphones and tablets. In addition to access to Phoenix Cloud – the global colour and product database – the app offers practical additional features such as an integrated barcode scanner.

The Phoenix app for Android and iOS devices makes digital colour management for body shops even more user-friendly. It has been designed with the user experience in mind and offers the full Phoenix Cloud experience in a responsive user interface. For users of the app, a key component is access to the comprehensive global Spies Hecker colour database that has over 200 000 refinish formulas of everything from classic car colours to the newest car colours. The integrated scanner function makes retrieving colour information directly from barcodes a seamless part of the process.

“Phoenix Cloud, our user-friendly all-round solution for digital colour management, offers a comprehensive online platform for everything from colour retrieval to shading and digital colour documentation,” says Adrian Harvey, Colour Marketing and Automation Leader for Axalta in South Africa. “With the new Phoenix App, refinishers can easily start their workday with a single touch of the screen on their devices. The software can be easily linked together with WiFi-enabled devices such as the ColorDialog Phoenix spectrophotometer, IP scales and label printers.”

Thanks to the freedom granted by the WiFi-enabled spectrophotometer and the Phoenix app, new and more efficient work processes can be put in place. Harvey says: “Body shops can significantly increase their efficiency by incorporating digital functions into their daily work.”

The Phoenix app can be downloaded now from the Apple Store and Google Play. Links can also be found at www.spieshecker.
