The All-New Renault Duster TechRoad has great off-road capabilities thanks to its class-leading ground clearance of 210mm. The Duster’s tough stance is emphasised by its bold, more horizontal lines, new 17” Diamond Cut wheels ensuring a more assertive profile, new prominent silver roof rails, and front and rear skid plates that support its adventurer credentials.

This TechRoad engine boasts a choice between the 1.6L 16V (petrol) and two versions of the 1.5 dCi turbo-diesel engine.

With the Duster 1.5 dCi, driver confidence and comfort are brought to the fore. The diesel 1.5 dCi 4×2’s engine has outputs of 66kW and 210Nm and sips fuel at 5.1L/100km. The 4×2 EDC automatic with1.5 Dci engine Ð much like the manual versions Ð have outputs of 80kW and 250Nm and 260Nm respectively, with even better consumption figures of just 4.8L/100km.

The turbo diesel automatic was our test car of choice and without a doubt the most pleasurable and comfortable to drive, thanks to its six-speed Dual-Clutch EDC Automatic gearbox that’s now available with the 1.5 dCi Diesel engine.

Upshifting is fast and smooth, with no jerking or loss in acceleration, I was particularly impressed with the performance with the automatic’s smooth operation and combined fuel consumption that is comparable to that of the manual version.

The interior of the all-new Renault Duster TechRoad has been completely re-designed, marked by a spacious and passenger-friendly cabin. The upholstery features a high-quality finish, with red detailing on the seats and striking red interior finishes. Particular emphasis has been placed on the dashboard as well, presenting a strong ergonomic design. Numerous clever stowage spaces are easily accessible with improved accessibility of controls, and an enhanced Multimedia experience.

The all-new Renault Duster offers a host of state-of-the-art equipment to facilitate stress-free everyday driving, including an on-board GPS Navigation system. Now with Smartphone mirror compatibility, today’s top contenders are Apple’s CarPlay and Android Auto.

Each provides functionality of your phone’s system that runs on your car’s computer interface, allowing drivers and passengers to control music, navigate, and communicate by way of voice commands and the car’s manual controls.

Plus, the convenience of features such as Automatic Climate Control, Speed Limiter and Cruise Control functions provide superb driving support on the open road.

The all-new Duster offers a multitude of advanced active and passive safety technology as standard across the range, such as ABS [Anti-Lock Braking System] with EBD [Electronic Brake Distribution] in conjunction with EBA [Emergency Brake Assist], making it possible to maintain control over the trajectory in the event of heavy braking.

Rear Park Distance Control enables easier parking manoeuvres by warning the driver of obstacles situated behind the vehicle. You can also expect a Hill Start Assist option too with this new TechRoad model.

This Duster model range comes standard with a five-year/150 000km mechanical warranty and a six-year, anti-corrosion warranty. Services are needed at 15 000km intervals, and a standard three-year/45 000km service plan applies. Prices start at R293 900.
