Interbilt Truck Repairs have developed an incredible level of expertise in all areas of truck repair. Since the company’s foundation some twenty-three years ago in Bapsfontein it has been driven by a desire to create a one-stop truck repair centre.

Company managing director, Jaco van Zyl, and his team of expert technicians, can capably produce around 60 full repairs out of the huge operation. Great work flow has helped increase body specific methods and productivity on all types of trucks and trailer chassis units that call for repair.

The company have recently installed their third Hurricane Equipment Industrial Truck Repair spraybooth. These monster units feature a full 15-metre length which capably copes with even the largest cab and trailer options. This set-up comes complete with a full steel frame construction and aluminium easy folding entry doors. The spray bake operation has one automatic control package that can reach temperatures of some 80ºC in the fast baking cycle.

Stuart Mackie from Hurricane Equipment says that Interbilt are a dominant repair centre that are growing fast and need to keep pace with demand. Interbilt also installed inverter heaters for chassis rectification some years ago and were instrumental in the purchase of a full Blackhawk HD truck repair damage pulling system where up to thirty tons of pulling power can be used to put back both cab and trailers to their original dimensions as the Korek offers endless pulling possibilities. These are some of the company’s equipment investments.

“We’re working seven days a week, 24 hours a day. We operate a full paint preparation area with the use of Plascon Acryline which is specified for many large haulage truck companies,” says spray painter Chris Minnaar. They also offer their clients quality solutions from BASF, combining Glasurit 68 Line and Baslac products, to deliver absolutely the very best and most durable commercial finish that any truck owner could ever wish for.

To keep the company’s name flying, Interbilt created their own truck show and festival in 2018. This became a huge success as they increased their relationship platform with their many loyal customers, insurance companies as well as parts supply specialists that help Interbilt maintain their top-class truck repair and national recovery business. They look forward to setting the bar on current truck, bus and chassis repair for these giants of the South African highways with such impressive all-round standards of collision repair.
