BMW April 2022

In June the UK’s garage and body shop industries collaborated to stage a two-day national trade show presented by Automechanika Birmingham. It proved to be a most welcome return to the exhibition hall for over 100 exhibitors and for the visitors who turned out in their thousands.

One of the busier stands at the show was presented by INDASA Abrasives, who took the opportunity to demonstrate their high-performance abrasive system (HT Line Ultravent) and to showcase their structured programme for body shop efficiency (Process to Profit).

The INDASA Group’s commercial manager Andrew Tindall took time to speak to Ian Groat and to elaborate on recent developments at the company’s manufacturing facility in Portugal. He spoke of how a major investment in production capacity is nearing completion despite the unprecedented challenges of the pandemic. “Standing still is never an option for a progressive company like INDASA, so we view this as one of our proudest achievements. This investment means that we’re well set for the future in terms of innovative product development and supply chain fulfillment to meet the opportunities that a recovering market will demand”.

INDASA has recently entered into a strategic partnership with Luxor Paints. The growth of the brand globally is testament to the performance and value that INDASA’s abrasive materials and compliant repair processes deliver to the refinish market.

Andrew summed up “With over 40 years of manufacturing expertise coupled with the very latest in abrasive materials technology, the prospects for optimised performance and substantial efficiency savings for the body shop business operation are looking good”.
