Dino and Aldo Rollandi, the father and son team at Artistic Autobody are gearing up to celebrate 20 years in business. The company has established a reputable name for quality of repairs and paint work. Originally they specialised in fitting body kits and custom paint work. This has achieved great local and international coverage for their artistic abilities.
The father and son duo have never looked back since they opened up their double storey premises in Mosaic street in Silverton, Pretoria. Dealing today with many broker firms, motor dealerships and custom referrals, Artistic Autobody run a slick operation in the repair business,
Aldo, who is the in-house specialist spray painter, spent a few years in Europe at Renault’s pre-delivery centre in Swindon, England. They produce anything up to 20 vehicles a day in that huge body repair shop and it’s there that he specialised in colour matching activities.
Their refinish system of choice is DeBeer. “The colours are simply amazing,” says Aldo. “They are so accurate at 99% out of 100 mixed colours. It’s almost ready to paint right off the tinting machine. The staff at Nancefield Auto Paints have turned in a sterling performance of backing-up the brand. Our paint account has dropped by around 40% in the years that we have been using the DeBeer paints system. With service always just a call away, our day to day technical issues have disappeared.”
They now employ 15 highly skilled staff with full time qualified panel beaters, assemblers and fabricators putting in their hard efforts to keep the company successful. Aldo is also a fully qualified spray painter and understands just about everything associated in putting out a perfect repair every time.
“We run a self-sufficient business and enjoy optimal work output thanks in many ways to all our staff and management who really know what body repair business is all about. You have to deliver value for money and keep things simple for your clients,” were Dino’s words of conclusion.
