We are also proud to announce that our learners, who form part of our spray-painting apprenticeship pilot programme – in partnership with NF Apprentices – will be completing their final trade test this year. These eight aspiring young people, with the theoretical and practical spray-painting skills they have acquired, are currently placed in body shops all over Gauteng to further hone their skills in preparation for this final exam.

Looking onto the product side, we successfully launched our new ProClass series clear coats. The feedback we have received within the market consistently reaffirms that the new ProClass clear coats give a refinish that stands tall amongst the best in the market.  “The response from our customers on the clear coats have been amazing!” said Jaco Wolmarans, Regional Sales Manager, BASF Coatings Services. “All our customers, who tried the new clear coats, wanted them in their shops. Our customers were especially surprised at our product’s competitive pricing, considering it is of such a high-quality.”

Our team has also managed to turn adversity into success by showing our customers the digital solution available to them for day-to-day body shop advice. Glasurit Know-How, our online, 24/7 platform for self-learning, technical and business support, is a crucial information tool particularly to those body shops with limited access to our technicians. 

Looking forward, we are at the forefront of the digital revolution. Glasurit South Africa will be launching Refinity, a platform created to drive body shops to the next level, in 2022.
