Expert automotive spray painters perform a particularly technical function which is exacting in nature that requires precision, patience and attention to detail to ensure perfection in the final finish.
Recognising the importance of their role in the overall refinish process, and the value they add to the modern automotive industry, the PPG Coatings Refinish Division has again committed to nationally roll out regional Spray Painting Club events in 2017.
PPG acknowledges the great work and service that the industry’s spray painters provide. As a brand leader, the company extends the invitation to all spray painting professionals.
Excellence is a recurring theme at these events and there are valuable presentations on product innovation from PPG and their paint related product partner, Gondolier. These days they have pursued an important particular objective: providing a solution through value added information for the particular spray painting industry. It is a day of exciting competitions with opportunities to win great prizes and each delegate receives a welcome gift with a membership certificate.
If you are a spray painting professional then this is the event for you, as it allows us to build relationships and enjoy the exciting display of products manned by technical specialists.
This year there are two events per region to be held in Cape Town, Durban and Gauteng. Each event has an automotive theme whether it be go-karting, motor shows or race days – cars will always feature.
This fun-filled day is not only about gaining knowledge but about joining in the fun, as delegates at a recent Cape Town event were invited to come dressed as the most environmentally friendly spray painting professional. There were lots of laughs when guests had to assemble a spray-gun in the fastest possible time to win an exciting prize.
Durban’s event was held at the Ethekwini Motor Festival which was a day filled with adrenaline and roaring engines, whereas Johannesburg’s team put their driving skills to the test at the Compu-Kart Raceway in Edenvale. Our mission for the spray painter’s days which have been part of the industry’s annual events calendar since 2015 is to ensure that PPG colleagues and our industry contemporaries are part of something bigger.
“We intend them to leave our event acknowledging their important purpose in the refinishing industry,” says Silvia Milone, market director for Refinish South Africa.
