Cresta are paint makers who started up a very successful company in Ghana, West Africa. They have developed a great degree in excellence for manufacturing a variety of coatings from polyurethane, clearcoats, hardeners, thinners and 1K plus 2K ranges of automotive refinish.
The company are due to start local production in their Chloorkop factory any day now and the special high-speed dispersion machinery is currently being installed. Company CEO Phalguni Pattayak, who operates the global paint company operations in China, India, Dubai, Nigeria, Mozambique and Mauritius, said this is where Cresta have made major in-roads in the automotive supply chain for refinish products. They have technology supply agreements with their Korean joint venture partner, Noroo Paint and Coatings Company. They are the first company to manufacture 1K basecoat and 2K acrylic paints in West Africa along with a wide range on ancillary products. Along with this the company have sold over 35 new modern spraybooths in Ghana and other regions of Africa and this has driven their company success forward.
The ramp-up to full production of their “Supershine” range in South Africa will be carried out by Galeed Salie, the new operations executive manager.
